Have you always used the same bags? With my first ileostomy, the brand given to me in the hospital was the one I continued to use. I wasn’t even made aware that there were others out there. I knew there were different shapes and sizes, but I thought they were made by the same manufacturer. The second time, I wasn’t keeping the stoma long enough to bother.
Why try other ostomy bags?
If you are keeping your ostomy permanently, or for a good amount of time, it’s worth looking at what’s available. There could be bags out there that suit your needs, or that can help with any issues you have, much better than your current ones. Many are designed with different concerns in mind, such as to fit curves, care for skin, or be extra flexible.

I’d love to know how you get on with any that you try – let me know, and good luck! 🍀

Hi Sahara, Just to clear up the confusion here – CliniMed and Welland are actually owned by the same group company and the stoma bag products are the same. If you see them listed with different names on the Welland site, that's only because Welland also distribute abroad (where the products have different names) whilst CliniMed are the UK distributor of Welland products. So a UK order placed on Welland just gets passed to CliniMed to process and send out. Hope that makes sense and apologies it wasn't explained to you when you ordered! Kind regards,Sarah Brechon Digital Marketing Manager, CliniMed
