Patient involvement in healthcare solutions matters. I believe that we, as patients, should be involved every step of the way. This ensures that the finished solution is real-world-ready, benefits the community immediately, and reduces the need for revisions.
I have a digital marketing background, which has proved useful in many of the healthcare and MedTech projects I’ve been involved in. I’ve worked with many healthcare-related companies, in industries such as Biotech and MedTech, which are a keen interest of mine. I work with companies interested in learning more about the patient journey; through healthcare and beyond. I’ve managed multiple projects, mapped patient journeys, conducted market research, designed surveys, curated data, recruited for and ran focus groups, organised and analysed qualitative and quantitative data, and been involved in strategic planning. I’ve also been fortunate enough to travel to be involved in workshops and think tanks.
I work with Fittleworth Medical and Health Union on IBD and ostomy lifestyle blogs, and community management. I’m on Patient Advisory Groups for NIHR BioResource and COUCH Health and am part of the NHS Readers Panel. I regularly get involved in a Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) capacity, which you can learn more about on my LinkedIn.
