Monday was supposed to be a productive day. With the bank holiday, I had it all mapped out: design, record, and edit new yoga practices while the world was quiet. I finally got myself organised, grabbed a blanket, and found the one sun-spot in the garden to start my work. Just sharing my #IBD / #UlcerativeColitis diagnosis story from waaaay back in 2007! 😳 If you start reading my post and it doesn’t resonate with you, it’s not for you. And that’s OK! It’s not all about you… THANK YOU so much to everyone who has sent images or requested the information. We've had lots already and have many more on the way, so I'll be turning the comments off now. I think we have plenty to be getting on with 🥰 Activation warning ⚠️ Part 2: Morphine #overdose in-patient experience. Activation warning: In-patient traumatic experience #IBD and food fear: What the latest research tells us https://advocatinghealth.com/2026/02/26/ibd-and-food-fear-latest-research/ One of the first questions I had after my #stoma surgery was whether I'd ever be able to lie on my front again. It shouldn't need saying 🙄 The clinical notes usually tell one story, but they often leave out the mental weight of living with a #ChronicIllness. Why would she post that?!! 😳 A diagnosis changes so much more than just your medical records. It often shifts your entire identity, and it is completely valid to mourn the life you thought you would have.
